The South Granville Water & Sewer Authority (SGWASA) wants to reassure customers that your drinking water meets all current state and federal safety standards set by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality (NCDEQ).

Utility crews are on site responding to a water main leak on East F Street in Butner, NC. To complete necessary repairs, water service has been temporarily disconnected. This interruption will affect customers located within the Edgewood Building at Murdoch Developmental Center, a state-operated healthcare facility. Our teams are working diligently to complete repairs and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.

Water quality testing samples will be collected following the completion of the repairs. The water quality tests are performed to affirm the quality of the drinking water in the affected area.  The tests require a minimum of 24 hours for processing to receive accurate results.  Test results will be made available to SGWASA customers upon receipt.

Whether you prefer enrolling by phone or through the bill pay website, the process is designed to be seamless, secure, and efficient.
