Thanksgiving Holiday Closing
SGWASA offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27th, and Friday, November 28th, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Normal operations will resume on Monday, December 1st.

Temporary Outage – Online and Phone Payment Systems
Please be advised that SGWASA’s online customer payment portal and automated phone payment system (IVR) are currently unavailable due to a widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage impacting Tyler Technologies, the authority's billing platform provider. Tyler’s technical team is actively working to restore service as quickly as possible.

$500,000 Awarded for PFAS Pilot Evaluation and Engineering Design
The State Water Infrastructure Authority has approved SGWASA’s most recent $500,000 funding request, bringing the total project award to $1,000,000 over the past year through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Drinking Water State Revolving Fund – Emerging Contaminants (DWSRF-EC) program.

September 2025 Board Meeting
The recent SGWASA Board meeting opened with the administration of the Oath of Office for Granville County Commissioner Russ May, who was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Commissioner Tim Karan. The Board welcomed Commissioner May as he steps into this role, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a distinguished record of service to both his country and community.

Iron and Manganese Monitoring with Hydrant Flushing and Testing
The City of Creedmoor recently engaged Pace Labs to conduct random water sampling across the SGWASA/City of Creedmoor service area. The initial focus was on evaluating Disinfection By-Products (DBPs), which are chemical compounds formed when disinfectants like chlorine or chloramine react with natural organic matter in water.

Water Main Leak - East F Street
Utility crews are on site responding to a water main leak on East F Street in Butner, NC. To complete necessary repairs, water service has been temporarily disconnected. This interruption will affect customers located within the Edgewood Building at Murdoch Developmental Center, a state-operated healthcare facility.
Our teams are working diligently to complete repairs and restore service as quickly and safely as possible.
