In general, properties within SGWASA’s service area are required to remain connected to public water when a public water line is accessible, and to remain connected to public sewer when public sewer is available to the property.

Penny Shortage Update
Butner, NC. March 3, 2026 - SGWASA is currently experiencing a temporary operational impact related to a local penny shortage. Local banking partners have not been able to supply pennies at this time, which means SGWASA is unable to provide exact change for cash transactions at the point of payment.
