East C Street Emergency Repairs
The South Granville Water and Sewer Authority is responding to report of a water main break at the 200 block of East Church Street in Creedmoor, North Carolina. Utility crews are actively working to assess the situation and complete necessary repairs.

Water Main Break - West C Street
A water main break has been reported on C Street near 8th Street in Butner, North Carolina. SGWASA crews are on site assessing the extent of the damage and determining the repairs needed to restore normal service as quickly and safely as possible.

Welcome Center Closing
SGWASA is closely monitoring the approaching winter storm and preparing for potential impacts on our operations. Customer and staff safety remains a top priority. Due to the forecast of inclement weather, our offices, including the Welcome Center, will open at 11:00 am on Friday, December 5, 2025.

November 2025 Board Meeting
SGWASA has successfully secured $41 million in grant funding, with an additional $83.5 million in applications under review for current projects. The Authority is taking a proactive approach in pursuing external funding to reduce ratepayer impact and advance system improvements.

Temporary Outage – Online and Phone Payment Systems
Please be advised that SGWASA’s online customer payment portal and automated phone payment system (IVR) are currently unavailable due to a widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage impacting Tyler Technologies, the authority's billing platform provider. Tyler’s technical team is actively working to restore service as quickly as possible.

$500,000 Awarded for PFAS Pilot Evaluation and Engineering Design
The State Water Infrastructure Authority has approved SGWASA’s most recent $500,000 funding request, bringing the total project award to $1,000,000 over the past year through the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) Drinking Water State Revolving Fund – Emerging Contaminants (DWSRF-EC) program.

September 2025 Board Meeting

Iron and Manganese Monitoring with Hydrant Flushing and Testing
The City of Creedmoor recently engaged Pace Labs to conduct random water sampling across the SGWASA/City of Creedmoor service area. The initial focus was on evaluating Disinfection By-Products (DBPs), which are chemical compounds formed when disinfectants like chlorine or chloramine react with natural organic matter in water.
