16th Street - Emergency Repairs Completed

Update 12:29 PM: Crews have successfully completed repairs to the valve break on 16th Street in Butner, North Carolina. Water service has been fully restored to all affected customers.


SGWASA appreciates the patience and understanding during this essential repair effort. Our utility teams remain committed to maintaining reliable service and the continued integrity of the water distribution system.


Repaired Valve

_______________________ November 4, 2025. Butner, NC - Crews are actively responding to multiple water main breaks affecting service in Butner, North Carolina. While repairs are underway for the apartment line break on West C Street, crews are also addressing an additional valve-related break near the 300 block of 16th Street.


To safely complete these repairs, water service in the affected areas will remain off, temporarily. Restoration will occur as soon as all line and valve work is completed.


SGWASA appreciates the patience and understanding of customers as our utility teams work diligently to restore full service. Updates will be provided as they become available.
