Temporary Outage – Online and Phone Payment Systems

Update October 21, 2025: Tyler Technologies has confirmed that all AWS-related system issues from yesterday have been resolved. Online and phone payment services are now fully operational.

October 20, 2025. Butner, NC - Please be advised that SGWASA’s online customer payment portal and automated phone payment system (IVR) are currently unavailable due to a widespread Amazon Web Services (AWS) outage impacting Tyler Technologies, the authority's billing platform provider. Tyler’s technical team is actively working to restore service as quickly as possible.


During this temporary outage, customers may still make payments by mail, in person at our Butner office, or by using the alternative payment methods outlined on our website. For details on these options, please visit www.sgwasa.org/bill


Updates will be provided as additional information becomes available.


We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as our vendor resolves this external system interruption.
