Late last evening, a vehicle struck a fire hydrant, causing damage to the connected water line leading back to the main. SGWASA crews promptly responded and completed an emergency repair by installing a straight pipe to restore service and maintain system integrity.
Replacement parts have been ordered, and the hydrant will be reinstalled once materials are received and conditions allow.
