Stem
During routine monitoring, an alarm at the Belltown Road Water Tower was traced to a frozen level transducer. Even with heat tape and insulation, the freeze caused inaccurate readings that triggered improper tank-level response. To stabilize operations, SGWASA has placed Belltown tower pumps in the 'off' position and is maintaining levels through manual pumping while the transducer is inspected and verified. Because the Stem system feeds Belltown, levels in Stem temporarily ran lower while Belltown pumping was held to prevent over-pumping based on false readings.
The Belltown tower has been refilled and stabilized, and corrective checks are underway.
