Hydrant Damage and Temporary Repair

October 29, 2025. Butner, NC - Late last evening, a vehicle struck a fire hydrant, causing damage to the connected water line leading back to the main on East E Street in Butner, NC. SGWASA crews promptly responded and completed an emergency repair by installing a straight pipe to maintain system integrity.
Permanent replacement parts have been ordered, and the hydrant will be reinstalled once materials are received and conditions allow.
