August Virtual Town Hall Brings Community Questions Into Focus

Butner, NC - Community questions shaped SGWASA’s August 2026 Virtual Town Hall, which covered billing reminders, customer support, infrastructure projects, water-quality initiatives, and PFAS mitigation efforts.

The session also addressed personal water filters—a topic that prompted public comment and Board discussion. As design advances for an advanced water treatment facility intended to reduce PFAS levels and support EPA compliance by 2029, the program explained how in-home filters compare with a long-term, systemwide treatment solution.

Have a Water-Quality Concern?

Please notify SGWASA promptly to properly document and investigate the concerns. Contact Customer Service by phone or email, or submit a report at sgwasa.org/wq. Each report helps the appropriate team coordinate corrective action when an issue within SGWASA’s service jurisdiction is identified.

Continue the Conversation: Questions and feedback help shape future sessions. Suggest a topic for the October 22 Virtual Town Hall at sgwasa.org/vth.
