The South Granville Water and Sewer Authority Board of Directors met on August 11, 2026, to discuss updates and fiscal decisions.

The Board approved Fiscal Year 2026–2027 Budget Amendment 1, which appropriated funding for a bond anticipation note interest payment due later in the fiscal year and re-appropriated funding for capital projects that remained in progress at the close of Fiscal Year 2025–2026.

Those projects included PFAS treatment and design work, water-quality initiatives, meter replacement, timekeeping implementation, and multiple components of the I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project.

The Board also approved Budget Amendment 2, which further aligned the adopted budget with approved fiscal and operational needs. The amendment included additional funding for the previously approved Fiscal Year 2025–2026 audit contract, a correction to the employer 401(k) participation allocation, and the reallocation of funding for automated timekeeping equipment within the utility division.

Customer water quality concerns were also part of the meeting discussion. A Board discussion item addressed a recent survey conducted in the City of Creedmoor, highlighting current communication options available to customers at sgwasa.org

Infrastructure updates included continued attention to the I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project, including construction conditions and cleanup efforts along 8th Street.

Together, the August meeting discussions reflected SGWASA’s continued focus on responsible financial management, customer communication, infrastructure investment, and thoughtful planning for the future of the water and sewer systems serving the community.
