Lake Holt Levels Improve - No Ongoing Restrictions

Butner, NC - Lake Holt levels have improved. Stage 1 Voluntary Water Conservation Measures, from the Water Shortage Response Plan, are no longer in effect, as of August 14, 2026. Community conservation efforts and recent rainfall events over the past thirty days have raised the water level in Lake Holt, improving conditions for the Granville County community’s water supply.
As a result, SGWASA’s Stage 1 voluntary water conservation measures are no longer in effect.
SGWASA team members will continue to monitor the Lake Holt water level on a daily basis, as usual, and will keep customers informed if conditions change.
The South Granville Water & Sewer Authority greatly appreciates all customers who participated in the voluntary water conservation measures and helped support the community’s water resources during this period.
