Butner, NC. February 11, 2026 - The South Granville Water & Sewer Authority made organizational changes during the February 2026 Board of Directors meeting through the annual Election of SGWASA officers. At the January 2026 Board meeting, Commissioner Jimmy Gooch formally notified the Board of his intent to conclude his service as Board Chair. By unanimous vote, the Board seated Commissioner Kenneth McLamb as Chair, with Commissioner Georgana Kicinksi continuing as Vice Chair

The next South Granville Water and Sewer Authority Board of Directors Meeting will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, February 10, 2026. The meeting is open to the public, and we welcome community members who would like to remain informed on SGWASA operations, current projects, and upcoming priorities. 

SGWASA remains focused on proactive, data-driven improvements that protect water quality, strengthen system reliability, and position the Authority to meet evolving regulatory expectations. During the most recent Board meeting, several active water-quality initiatives were reviewed, including PFAS treatment planning, treatment plant filter improvements, and targeted distribution system flushing strategies.

As part of SGWASA’s standard public governance and financial oversight process, the SGWASA Finance Committee will convene for upcoming public meetings to review project funding strategies and capital planning priorities.
