At the November 12, 2025 BOD Meeting, the SGWASA Board approved the addition of a standing Conflict of Interest Declaration near the start of every agenda to reinforce transparency. The Board approved publishing a consolidated list of hardship assistance resources on SGWASA’s website for informational purposes, approved the 2026 holiday schedule while referring a potential new employee personal day to the Finance Committee for budget review, and authorized a Water Treatment Plant Master Plan task order under SGWASA’s $150,000 NC DEQ AIA grant.

A request for water and sewer extensions for Brame's Crossing - Phase 2, in Creedmoor, NC, was discussed and ultimately tabled to allow staff to research questions posed at the meeting and document the project’s historic capacity allocation and how it interacts with current system and I-85 components.

The Board received a first-quarter FY25/26 update showing water and sewer revenues tracking close to budget, interest income outperforming projections, and departmental spending generally within target ranges, while also reviewing the funding and expenditures to date for the I-85 sanitary sewer improvement project. Staff reported that the FY25 audit is delayed due to statewide guidance and federal timing issues but still being worked toward the statutory deadline.

The Board approved a budget amendment to fund new electronic time clocks and timekeeping software integrated with Tyler Technologies to modernize payroll and leave tracking.

The evening concluded with updates on the upcoming filter media replacement at the water treatment plant and a brief transition into closed session for a personnel matter.
