Butner, NC. December 23, 2025 - The vacant seat on the seven member South Granville Water & Sewer Authority Board was filled at the December SGWASA Board meeting; oath of office was administered for Town of Butner Councilperson Tom Lane.
The Board approved the Brames Crossing Phase 2 water and sewer extensions. Discussions surrounding the purchase of a new 400 kW generator for the Lake Holt Raw Water Pump Station to replace the 32-year-old unit with escalating maintenance costs lead to approval of the purchase, with a condition for a two-year warranty.
The Executive Director and Assistant Executive Director provided updates on various projects, including the PFAS mitigation program and the I-85 sewer upgrade.
