October I-85 SSI Progress Meeting
Haren Construction representatives reported completing concrete and rebar installations at both the Joe Peed and East Middleton Lift Stations wet well structures. Specifically, the lower influent channel walls and the lower and upper wet well walls were completed at the Joe Peed Lift Station.

September 2025 Board Meeting
The recent SGWASA Board meeting opened with the administration of the Oath of Office for Granville County Commissioner Russ May, who was appointed to fill the unexpired term of Commissioner Tim Karan. The Board welcomed Commissioner May as he steps into this role, bringing a wealth of knowledge, experience, and a distinguished record of service to both his country and community.

Planned Repairs
SGWASA utility crews have scheduled repair work for Friday, September 19, 2025 to address a broken valve that requires immediate attention. The planned maintenance will take place along East D Street from 18th Street to 24th Street and within the 300 Block of 22nd Street.

Water Main Leak - East F Street
Utility crews are on site responding to a water main leak on East F Street in Butner, NC. To complete necessary repairs, water service has been temporarily disconnected. This interruption will affect customers located within the Edgewood Building at Murdoch Developmental Center, a state-operated healthcare facility.

System Pressure Advisory In Effect Until Further Notice
Water quality testing samples will be collected following the completion of the repairs. The water quality tests are performed to affirm the quality of the drinking water in the affected area. Â The tests require a minimum of 24 hours for processing to receive accurate results. Â Test results will be made available to SGWASA customers upon receipt.
