SGWASA Connect is a drop-in community information event that brings SGWASA representatives, project partners, contractors and customer resources together in one location. The event adds another layer to SGWASA’s ongoing communication efforts through project displays, informational media, direct conversations and individualized customer support.

SGWASA Connect will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2026, from 5:00–7:30 PM at Butner Town Hall, 415 Central Avenue, Butner, NC 27509.

Do I need to register to attend?

Accepted Answer

No. SGWASA Connect is a drop-in event, and no ticket is required. Customers may visit at any time throughout the advertised event hours. Customers who would like individualized assistance with billing questions, online payment tools or general account needs may register to receive one-on-one Customer Service support during the event.

Who should attend?

Accepted Answer

SGWASA customers, residents, renters, businesses and community members from Butner, Creedmoor, Stem and southern Granville County who would like to learn more about SGWASA projects, water quality, operations or customer resources are invited to attend.

What will I be able to see and do?

Accepted Answer

Attendees can explore project and water-quality displays, view informational videos, and speak directly with SGWASA representatives and professionals connected to current projects. Individualized Customer Service support will also be available through scheduled appointments, subject to capacity.

What projects and topics will be featured?

Information will include PFAS mitigation, Lead and Copper Rule Revisions, the Filter Media Removal Project, the I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project, water-quality initiatives, SGWASA operations, billing practices and customer-service resources.The I-85 SSI area is planned to include project timelines, corridor maps, construction information and supporting visuals, with project representatives available to discuss their respective areas of work.

What is the Information Theater?

The Information Theater will feature videos covering SGWASA’s history and community role, utility operations, billing and accounts, and major capital and water-quality initiatives. The operational content follows the utility service cycle from source-water intake and treatment through testing, storage, distribution, customer accounts, wastewater collection and treatment, maintenance, monitoring and regulatory compliance.

Can I ask questions about my water quality?

Yes. Customers are able to receive immediate support for water quality concerns by contacting SGWASA Customer Service at (919) 575-3367 or completing the water quality questionnaire found at sgwasa.org/wq.Water quality initiatives are an important part of the event, with information and representatives available to discuss the work in progress and recently completed.

No. SGWASA Connect is a community information event. It does not replace SGWASA Board meetings, public-comment opportunities or any legally required public hearing.
