Water quality testing samples will be collected following the completion of the repairs. The water quality tests are performed to affirm the quality of the drinking water in the affected area.  The tests require a minimum of 24 hours for processing to receive accurate results.  Test results will be made available to SGWASA customers upon receipt.

Water service will be temporarily interrupted on Thursday, August 21, 2025, in the West C Street and 8th Street areas of Butner, NC. This interruption is necessary to repair leaks that have developed on two valves in the system.

Recent routine water quality testing in the SGWASA/Creedmoor service area has identified elevated levels of iron and manganese in some locations. These minerals are naturally occurring and commonly found in groundwater, but elevated concentrations can affect the taste, color, and appearance of your water.
