Update 12:14 PM: The March 9, 2026, 3:00 PM blasting session has been postponed, with no blasting scheduled for tomorrow.
Butner, NC. March 9, 2026 - Crews will continue pump station and pipeline work in the East Middleton area while sewer main installation and site restoration continue on CP-2. Controlled blasting is currently in progress within the work zone, with another session scheduled for 3:00 pm.
D Street at 8th Street in Butner, NC, will be closed on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, and Thursday, March 12, 2026, to support active construction work in the area. The roadway is expected to reopen by 5:00 pm on Friday, March 13, 2026.
Motorists should plan for temporary traffic changes and use alternate routes while work is underway. SGWASA appreciates the public's patience as this infrastructure improvement project continues to advance in support of long-term system reliability.
