Bid Opening for I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project – Construction Package 2

Updated August 19, 2025: Park Construction submitted the sole proposal, which exceeded the project budget. SGWASA and CDM Smith are now conducting value engineering to reduce costs and evaluate whether parts of the North Interceptor can be deferred.
A contract recommendation is anticipated at the September/October 2025 Board meeting.
Butner, NC. May 23, 2025 - The SGWASA and CDM Smith teams convened with Bidders for the scheduled bid opening of Construction Package 2 for the I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project.
As only one bid was received by the submission deadline, and per procurement requirements mandating a minimum of three bids, the team did not proceed with the formal opening.
A revised bid opening date is currently being coordinated and will be announced soon.
