The SGWASA Board of Directors approved a Task Order at the January 13, 2026 Board meeting with Hazen and Sawyer (On-Call Engineering Firm) for a Unidirectional Flushing Pilot Program in the Golden Pond Subdivision in the City of Creedmoor.

The Golden Pond Unidirectional Flushing Program pilot has been successfully completed. Thank you to customers for your patience and cooperation as crews carried out this important water system maintenance initiative.

Recent rainfall and evolving weather conditions have supported Lake Holt levels rising approximately two feet, which serves as an encouraging improvement for the Granville County community’s water supply.

SGWASA remains focused on proactive, data-driven improvements that protect water quality, strengthen system reliability, and position the Authority to meet evolving regulatory expectations. During the most recent Board meeting, several active water-quality initiatives were reviewed, including PFAS treatment planning, treatment plant filter improvements, and targeted distribution system flushing strategies.
