Butner, NC - SGWASA will resume the Unidirectional Flushing Program plans within Creedmoor's Golden Pond community on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 and Wednesday, September 23, 2026.
Unidirectional flushing is a planned water-system maintenance process that uses controlled valve and hydrant operations to direct water through selected water mains. The increased flow helps remove accumulated sediment and supports continued water quality throughout the distribution system.
If additional time is required, September 29th, October 6th and October 13th have been reserved as contingency dates. Work on those dates will occur on an as needed basis.
Customers in or near the work area may temporarily notice changes in water pressure or appearance while flushing is underway. If discoloration occurs, allow cold water to run until it becomes clear before completing laundry or other activities that could be affected.
SGWASA appreciates the community’s patience while this preventive maintenance is completed.
