Butner, NC. January 15, 2026 - The South Granville Water & Sewer Authority is partnering with Vanguard Utility Service Inc. to complete a systemwide meter replacement initiative within the City of Creedmoor. This multi-phase project is expected to take approximately eight months and will replace older-style water meters at eligible service locations.
The project is scheduled to begin January 20th – 23rd , daily during the hours of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM on Ferbow Street in Creedmoor, NC.

What to Expect
Temporary water service interruption is required to safely complete the meter changeout.
Typical shutoff duration is expected to last 30–45 minutes per location, some site conditions may extend this time.
After service restoration, some customers may notice air in the service line, brief pressure fluctuations, or minor discoloration.
To avoid delays, please ensure the following:
Meter box is accessible (remove debris/landscaping, do not park over the box).
Gates are unlocked if they restrict access.
Pets are secured during the work window.
If crews cannot safely access the meter box, a door tag will be left and the condition will be documented. Vanguard will return during the project timeframe, when access is restored.
If you notice air in your water line after the meter is replaced, run the largest faucet (bathtub faucet or outdoor spigot) for several minutes. For multi-level homes, open a faucet at the highest point in the home to help purge air through the system. If symptoms persist after flushing, please contact SGWASA.
For service questions or concerns regarding field activity, contact SGWASA directly at (919) 575-3367.
