SGWASA Advances PFAS Treatment Project and Receives AFFF Settlement Funding
South Granville Water and Sewer Authority continues to advance its long-term response to per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances, commonly known as PFAS, through treatment design, pilot testing, permitting coordination, and strategic funding efforts.

PFAS Intent to Fund Notice
In March 2026, SGWASA received notice that the North Carolina State Water Infrastructure Authority approved $10,658,880 in additional funding assistance for SGWASA’s drinking water projects. The award is expected to include a combination of loan and grant funding administered through the North Carolina Department of Environmental Quality’s Division of Water Infrastructure.
