SGWASA utility crews are finalizing repairs related to the Wilton fire hydrant incident and restoring water tower levels. Water pressure levels have been restored for customers impacted by the earlier fire hydrant incident.
URGENT: SGWASA utility crews are currently responding to a major water emergency in Wilton, North Carolina.
A motorist has struck a fire hydrant, causing significant damage.
As a result of the impact, the Wilton Water Tower has been drained, and supply valves have been temporarily shut off. This disruption has led to no water pressure and service interruption at Tar River and Wilton Elementary Schools.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and are working diligently to restore water service as quickly as possible.
