Water Main Breaks in Service Area

Update 2:01 PM: Crews completed repairs and restored service for impacted customers.
Butner, NC. February 11, 2026 - Utility crews received a report of a water main break near the 300 block of 23rd Street in Butner that SGWASA must repair. Crews also responded to a separate break reported near in Piedmont Gardens Park; that issue is located on private property.
To safely isolate the system and support repair work, SGWASA may close main valves feeding the area, which could affect customers in Piedmont Village Park (100 block of 24th Street) and Twin Circles Park (800 block of East C Street). Customers in these areas may experience temporary low to no water pressure during valve operations and repairs.
