SGWASA staff will begin a valve exercising program in the Golden Pond subdivision in the City of Creedmoor on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. This work is expected to continue for several days as crews complete system maintenance activities throughout the neighborhood.

During this work period, residents may see technicians opening and closing water system valves, operating fire hydrants, and conducting minor water flushing in the area.

These activities are part of routine system maintenance and preparation for the upcoming Unidirectional Flushing Program planned for the Golden Pond subdivision in Creedmoor, NC. Due to weather-related drought concerns in the area, Engineering teams have paused the full UDF program schedule at this time. Preparatory activities remain in progress, and conditions will continue to be reviewed in 30-day intervals.

Customers in the area may experience temporary periods of stirred-up or discolored water, along with possible lower water pressure while crews are working nearby. SGWASA appreciates the community’s patience as staff completes this important preparation work to support water system performance and reliability.
