Planned Water Service Interruption: West C Street and 8th Street
Butner, NC - Water service will be temporarily interrupted on Monday, September 21, 2026, beginning at 8:00 AM, for customers in the following areas:
West C Street between 5th Street and 8th Street
The 200 block of 8th Street
The interruption is expected to last 4 to 6 hours.
Crews will install a valve and remove the temporary water line crossing 8th Street to accommodate blasting and installation of a new 36-inch sewer line and manhole for the I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project. The new valve will allow water service to be restored while the remaining sewer construction activities are completed, closures remain in place.
