Ensuring Good Water Quality: SGWASA Is Here To Help
At SGWASA, our team is happy to provide quality water and sewer services to the residents of Granville County. While we work hard to ensure reliable water that meets and often exceeds EPA standards, we understand that water quality can sometimes be impacted by factors beyond the Authority's control. We are committed to addressing concerns you may have, and are here to help navigate issues that arise.

Your Path to a Solution
If you are experiencing any concerns with your water quality, we encourage you to complete the Water Quality Questionnaire Form, conveniently located on our homepage. By submitting this form, you will initiate the process of scheduling an inspection of your water quality. Our team will promptly visit your location to assess the situation.
Once the inspection is completed, if the source of the water quality concern is found to be within SGWASA’s area of responsibility, the Authority will take immediate corrective action. However, it is important to note that factors beyond our control can sometimes influence water quality inside your home.
External Factors That Impact Water Quality
While SGWASA works diligently to provide clean water to all residents, other factors can affect the water quality that reaches your tap. These may include:
Recent Construction: New construction or nearby excavation work can sometimes disturb water lines or introduce debris into the system.
Older Pipe Infrastructure in the Home: Aging plumbing within your home may lead to issues like rust or sediment, affecting water quality.
Rodent Activity: Rodents in plumbing systems can occasionally compromise the integrity of pipes, leading to potential contamination.
Storm Systems: Heavy rainfall or flooding may affect the stormwater systems and cause temporary disruptions to water quality.
These are just a few examples of how external factors can impact the water inside the home. We understand that these issues can be concerning, and we are here to help identify and resolve them.
Our Commitment to Service
SGWASA is proud of no violations since 2017, and we continue to work hard to maintain quality services for our community. We are committed to transparency and prompt service, ensuring your water quality concerns are addressed quickly and effectively.
If you have concerns about the quality of your water, remember that SGWASA is here to assist you. Begin by completing the Water Quality Questionnaire and take the first step toward resolving any issues. We are here to support you every step of the way.
