Update 11:26 PM: Crews have completed repairs to the water main break reported near West C Street and 11th Street in Butner, and water service has been restored for affected customers.

Butner, NC. January 29, 2026 - Sharp drops in temperature can increase water main breaks and leak activity across the system.
Please travel with caution as SGWASA utility crews and contractors respond to increased field activity and work to restore service as safely and quickly as conditions allow.
Crews are responding to a water main break reported near West C Street and 11th Street in Butner, NC. Repairs are underway, and we are in the process of temporarily shutting off water service on West C Street from 5th Street to 11th Street to complete the work.
