Update: SGWASA utility crews provided technical support in response to a water service issue originating within a privately maintained commercial system in Butner Business Park. The cause was traced to a recently installed pump at the pump house serving the customer’s site.

In the early morning hours, the pump activated but failed to shut off, causing the blow-off valve to release pressure into the private infrastructure.
This incident temporarily impacted system water levels. Water pressure was restored at 9:00 AM, after crews successfully isolated the affected valves.
We appreciate the community’s patience and understanding throughout this repair.
Utility crews are responding to a water leak within Butner Business Park and are working to isolate the issue. Additionally, the Will Suit Road water tower is temporarily out of service for scheduled maintenance.
As a result, customers in the E. Lyon Station Road area may experience low water pressure. Crews are actively working to resolve the situation and restore normal service as rapidly as possible.
