The South Granville Water and Sewer Authority recognizes recent concerns raised regarding water clarity and seasonal odor for some residents in Granville County. While SGWASA’s water meets or exceeds all state and federal water quality guidelines, aesthetic concerns may still be present.

The South Granville Water and Sewer Authority was featured in a consumer investigation report on a WRAL 5 On Your Side, February 24, 2025. The report discussed a sewer backup incident that occurred within a resident's home, and was found to be caused by debris obstructing the sewer system, in the absence of a required backflow preventer.
