Overflow Incident - 22nd Street in Butner, NC
Butner, NC. March 3, 2026 - On March 2, 2026, at approximately 11:30 am, South Granville Water and Sewer Authority teams responded to a sanitary sewer overflow (SSO) in the vicinity of 22nd Street in Butner, NC. The overflow originated from Manhole #1374 due to a blockage caused by non-flushable wipes, plastic, and other debris. Crews cleared the blockage and stopped the overflow in approximately one hour.
