Butner, NC. December 5, 2025 - A water main break has been reported on C Street near 8th Street in Butner, North Carolina. SGWASA crews are on site assessing the extent of the damage and determining the repairs needed to restore normal service as quickly and safely as possible.

At this time, customers in the immediate area may experience one or more of the following:

  • Low water pressure or temporary loss of water service

  • Fluctuations in water pressure as valves are operated

  • Possible discolored water once service is restored

If you experience discolored water after service returns, SGWASA recommends running cold water from a bathtub or outside spigot for several minutes to help clear internal plumbing.
