I-85 SSI Project
The South Granville Water & Sewer Authority partnered with engineering experts CDM Smith to conduct the I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project.
This project will replace aging materials to maintain an infrastructure that meets Granville County’s present and forthcoming capacity demands.
Construction Updates:

* Material deliveries are planned to continue, ductile iron pipe has been delivered, on site.
* The first 20 manholes, rings and covers, services, and saddles will arrive over the next two weeks.
* PVC pipe and coupling deliveries are anticipated delivery within approximately one month.
* Park has released structures up to 11th Street in Butner, NC.
* Travel with caution on C, D, and 8th Streets as crews will be present assisting with traffic direction.
* The East Middleton Lift Station will include liquid-phase odor control work, consisting of layout and excavation for the concrete equipment pad and placement of the specified stone base.
Please be advised that noise disruptions may occur during the clearing and excavation activities. Clearing may begin as early as 7:00 AM.
