Railroad Avenue Blasting Update and Upcoming Rock Removal Work

CP-1 Updates
Haren remains active at the Joe Peed lift station as work progresses on this wastewater system component.
JF Wilkerson is installing sewer line along Joe Peed Road.
Autry is performing sewer force main work along Joe Peed Road.
CP-2 Updates
Park crews are placing 36-inch fiberglass-reinforced pipe (FRP) on Railroad Avenue.
Young Construction has a limited crew onsite to service equipment and support field readiness.
Carolina Drilling is scheduled to conduct one controlled blast today at 2:00 PM on Railroad Avenue, where Park encountered high-bottom rock that did not fully break during the original blast.
Beginning Monday, Carolina Drilling is also expected to start controlled blasting between Station 49+50 and Station 35+00. This phase is anticipated to take approximately two months as crews address rock conditions along this section of the project alignment.
No gas utility conflict has been identified in this area.
Residential access will be maintained throughout the road closure, consistent with the access approach used during prior work on 8th Street.
