Two Controlled Blasts Scheduled as A Street and C Street Work Progresses

CP-1 Updates
Haren is progressing work at the Joe Peed lift station.

Along Joe Peed Road, JF Wilkerson is installing sewer line while Autry advances sewer force main construction.

CP-2 Updates
Park is carrying pipe installation forward on A Street.

Crews are also performing air gap work and heave removal on C Street.

Young Construction is advancing I-85 microtunnel boring, while a second crew continues Norfolk Southern Railroad bore activities.

Carolina Drilling is scheduled to conduct two controlled blasts today at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

12:18 PM Weather-Related Update:

The 3:00 PM controlled blast scheduled for today has been canceled. Blasting is planned to resume tomorrow at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM, provided rainfall and site conditions allow crews to safely proceed.

Park has also paused pipe installation on A Street today due to current site conditions.

Tomorrow’s schedule remains weather dependent and may be adjusted based on the amount of rainfall received today and conditions at the work sites. SGWASA will share additional schedule changes as information is confirmed.
