TBM Retrieval Preparations Advance as Two Controlled Blasts Are Scheduled

CP-1 Updates
Haren is progressing work at the Joe Peed lift station.

Along Joe Peed Road, JF Wilkerson is continuing sewer line installation while Autry advances sewer force main construction.

CP-2 Updates
Park is continuing pipe installation on A Street.

Young Construction is continuing to dismantle the tunnel boring machine (TBM) as crews prepare to retrieve the head unit from the reception shaft, and will continue Norfolk Southern Railroad bore activities.

Carolina Drilling is scheduled to conduct two controlled blasts today at 11:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

10:15 AM Update: Today’s 11:00 AM controlled blast has been canceled. Carolina Drilling is scheduled to conduct one controlled blast at 2:00 PM.

A 12-inch water main break has also been isolated at Hanes Geo. Repair work is underway, with the line expected to be repaired by noon today.
