FRP (Fiberglass-Reinforced Plastic) Main

An FRP sewer main is a sewer pipeline made from fiberglass-reinforced plastic, a composite material that combines fiberglass strands with a resin binder.

Utilities use FRP pipe because it is highly resistant to corrosion, lightweight for handling and installation, and strong for buried infrastructure, which can help extend service life compared with some traditional materials in aggressive wastewater environments.
