Please be advised that noise disruptions may occur during the blasting and construction activities. Work may begin as early as 7:00 AM. Traffic impacts should be expected on multiple streets within the construction area, primarily associated with deliveries, blasting activity, and excavation operations with work ending at 10:00 PM.

SGWASA’s I-85 Sanitary Sewer Improvement Project continues to advance across active work areas. Autry crews are continuing work on the East Lyon Station Road crossing, with crossing work expected to be completed by the end of Wednesday, July 8. Paving is expected to follow on Thursday, July 9.

Pipeline installation will continue on Central Avenue with the approved detour in place. Drivers should follow posted detour signage and use I-85 Exit 191 when accessing the Town of Butner. Weekend work is planned in front of the Newton Manufacturing loading docks to help reduce weekday impacts. The Central Avenue closure is currently scheduled from July 6 through August 10.

The blasting schedule remains on hold at this time.
