Sewer Use Ordinance

The South Granville Water and Sewer Authority maintains a Sewer Use Ordinance establishing requirements for the use, operation, and protection of its public wastewater collection and treatment system.
The ordinance regulates wastewater discharges from residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial users to protect public health, wastewater infrastructure, treatment processes, and the environment. It establishes standards for sewer connections, prohibited discharges, industrial wastewater pretreatment, discharge permits, inspections, monitoring, reporting, and enforcement.

These provisions support compliance with applicable state and federal regulations, including the Clean Water Act, while promoting responsible wastewater management, equitable allocation of system costs, and the continued reliability of SGWASA's wastewater services.
