Please be advised that noise disruptions may occur during the blasting and construction activities. Work may begin as early as 7:00 AM. Traffic impacts should be expected on multiple streets within the construction area, primarily associated with deliveries, blasting activity, and excavation operations.
I-85 SSI Project activity is scheduled to move forward over the next two weeks along Joe Peed Road, East Middleton, West Middleton Drive, East Lyon Station Road, A Street, and 8th Street.
Work will include force main installation, gravity sewer activity, valve and electrical building improvements, odor-control preparation, wet well coating work, electrical ductbank installation, microtunnel-related pipe installation, and controlled blasting on West A Street.
Traffic impacts may include flagging near Joe Peed Road and West Middleton Drive, a partial closure on 8th Street, and a full closure on A Street. A longer-duration Central Avenue closure is anticipated after July 4 and will be communicated as the schedule is finalized.
No planned water or sewer service interruptions are anticipated at this time.
