Pump Station Maintenance Mechanic

An employee in this class performs advanced journey level mechanical and electrical work in the operation, maintenance, and repair of large and specialized equipment and machinery in pumping stations and the wastewater and water treatment plants. Work involves responsibility for maintaining and repairing a variety of pumps and motors and other equipment including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and some electronic (SCADA) work. Work requires a knowledge of trade skills in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, electronic and plumbing areas. Performs difficult technical and skilled work in the operation, maintenance, and repair, and replacement of machinery and equipment in the pumping stations and wastewater and water treatment plants.
