The organizational-wide facility needs study evaluates SGWASA’s current facilities and determines future facility needs for the next 30 years. This study focuses on several operating departments, such as administration, located in the Butner Town Hall, the wastewater treatment plant, and the water/sewer utilities operations. As separate AIA study is being performed for the water treatment facility master plan. McGill Associates is performing both studies. The cost for the Facility Needs study is $43,718.00. The Board of Directors will be provided with a final report/overview in the fall of 2025.
Presently, SGWASA has a 20-year lease with the Town of Butner. The lease originated in 2011.
