Traffic impacts should be expected on multiple streets within the construction area, primarily associated with deliveries, blasting activity, and excavation operations with work ending at 10:00 PM.

June 22, 2026 - Pipeline work has progressed to East Lyon Station Road, and the contractor will be crossing East Lyon Station Road at East Middleton Drive. This work is a key step in moving the project forward and will require temporary traffic control lane closures while crews complete the work. Drivers should anticipate brief delays, reduced travel speeds, and active construction near East Lyon Station Road and East Middleton Drive. Drivers traveling through this area are encouraged to allow additional travel time and exercise caution.

Beginning July 6, 2026 - Residents, commuters, and nearby property owners are encouraged to plan ahead for the scheduled road closure in Butner, at Central Ave. & A. Street. The intersection will be closed on July 6, 2026 at 9:00am and is scheduled to re-open by August 9, 2026. Detour signs and message boards will be installed throughout the detour.

General Project Updates: Project activity continues along Joe Peed Road, East Middleton, West Middleton Drive, East Lyon Station Road, A Street, and Central Avenue. No planned water or sewer service interruptions are anticipated at this time.
