Construction over the next two weeks will focus on continued pipeline installation across Central Avenue, continued work at the East Lyon Station Road crossing, and excavation of the microtunnel launch pit. Blasting operations remain on hold pending coordination activities.

Motorists should expect ongoing traffic impacts along A Street, Central Avenue, and East Lyon Station Road. The Central Avenue closure is anticipated to remain in place through August 10, with the approved detour directing traffic to I-85 Exit 191 for access to the Town of Butner.

Weekend construction activities are planned near the Newton Manufacturing loading docks to help minimize weekday traffic impacts. No planned utility service interruptions are anticipated during this reporting period.
